If you’re thinking about sharing one of your videos online, consider uploading straight to your social media platform, instead of sharing a link to YouTube or Vimeo.

As a note, I always ALSO post to YouTube or Vimeo, but I re-publish directly on social media to avoid the click-through, reach more people, and generate buzz with likes and comments.
