Christian Grabandt
Christian and I first met each other in August, when I stayed with him and his wonderful family for a month. I learned quickly that Christian has one of the biggest hearts that I've ever met. His laugh is quick, loud, and contagious, and he's always ready to invite friends over for a warm dinner or some wine, sausage, and cheese. This larger-than-life kindness paired with the seriousness with which he approaches his art, is what I wanted to capture in his portraits.
